FAABulous Football Week 2: We Just Don't Know
Welcome to Week 2
Week 1 is in the books and everything played out exactly as we all envisioned this offseason—the truth is we just don’t know… anything. If you feel like your world has been turned upside down, just know you are not alone and I am here to try and piece together some options to help. This is not the most robust waiver week, but I did dig deep to try and give y'all some usable options. Also, this intro is going to be short and sweet as my Vegas vacation has ended with me catching Covid, so bear with me as I get this out to everyone.
All stats and data for this article are pulled from Fantasy Life, PFF, and Stealing Signals.
A Look at Week 1
Week 1 Waiver Wire Wins
When I say “wins” it is in reference to the player(s) won on the waiver wire, not a performance evaluation. Because I am releasing this article after the conclusion of Week 1, many things, in hindsight, may not be a win after all. I include this section not for bragging rights or victory laps but rather to keep myself accountable and demonstrate that I am, in fact bidding on many of the players I am writing about (for better and worse).
Several of the top waiver options were not available or right for teams’ roster needs. I included these players I did not win any shares of as well ones along with the winning bid range I saw these players go for in other leagues.

Week 1: The Ship Chasing Team Standings
FFPC Main Event Teams
Live A Little (0-1) 9th Place 115.65 pts
The Mahomes/Kelce stack was not enough to win the matchup this week. This team also fell victim to Rico Dowdle and Keenan Allen dud games. Next week feels like a new beginning for many of what we expected to be high-powered offenses.
Top 2 Win It Win It (1-0) 2nd Place 170.90 pts
This team put up a massive score Week 1 playing the hits with Josh Allen, Ceedee Lamb, and Brock Bowers. The team also took a big upside swing with JK Dobbins that hit in a big way out of the gate.
We Just Don’t Know (1-0) 7th Place 129.90 pts
Another win for Week 1 this team has a lot of overlap with the previous team but rosters Jayden Daniels at quarterback, who showed his big-time rushing upside.
Tree Branches (0-1) 11th Place 96.80 pts
This team suffered a tough loss hitting on several stud WR landmines in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Amon Ra St. Brown. The running back room offered little help, with Chase Brown and Derrick Henry also performing below expectations.
Hear Ye Hear Ye (0-1) 5th Place 133.80 pts
This team lost, but had solid yet unspectacular scores across the board, a bit of a bad beat for the chosen opponent.
CrakRok (1-0) 4th Place 146.80 pts
This team had a massive come-from-behind victory thanks to kicker Jake Moody. This team feels lucky.
Dairy Queen (1-0) 5th Place 143.90 pts
My team also won the week thanks to Jake Moody, but needed a lot fewer points. It is going to be a bit of a rough road ahead after losing Puka Nacua to injury.
Caveish (0-1) 12th Place 96.30 pts
This team had a rough start to the season as well, but looks primed for a bounce back.
FFPC $5,000 Big Payback Teams
Leone HS1 (0-1) 11th Place 106.30 pts
This loss hits the hardest as Jayden Reed was stuck on the bench and would have won the week... talk about a bad beat.
Leone HS2 (0-1) 6th Place 126.70 pts
This was a tough loss, thanks to the high bust rate of elite TE for Week 1. This feels more like a one-week blip, and I have faith the best is yet to come.
Week 2 Waiver Priorities for FFPC
Below are all the players I like for Week 2 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.
This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.
Please note with a drop list, you do not have to drop these players and all suggestions are general as it is impossible to cover all nuances of individual leagues.
