FAABulous Football Week 6: Maye The Best Team Win

FAABulous Football Week 6: Maye The Best Team Win

Welcome to Week 6

I slept in a bit on Monday after the Cowboys and Steelers game was delayed, keeping me up past my bedtime. However, it was worth seeing an exciting finish (after a pretty boring start) where my Cowboys won and the official beginning of the Rico Dowdle season! After such an amazing night I thought nothing could get better, then I rolled over in bed and grabbed my phone and saw these texts from Nick Cos…

It took me a minute to fully remember all the details of our friendly five dollar bet, as I was still groggy, but once it registered that Drake season Maye be here I could not feel more FAABulous…

Until the update today, because now it is official, LFG!!!!!!!!!

On top of this news it is also a big week in the FFPC streets, the all play week. This is the week where the only thing that matters is how many points you score and the top 6 teams in the league get to throw up the Ws.

I think all play week is a nice addition where you don’t have to worry about any bad matchup luck, even if it is just so we only play every opponent H2H one time in the regular season. It’s crazy to think that Week 6 is the halfway point of the regular season for FFPC, but the time is now to put up or shut up if you want a shot to win your league and make it to the sprint.

We have another four teams on bye this week; Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins, and Vikings, so I am here to help you find some players that you can start and some upside stashes if you are #blessed with enough space to hold them. As always we have a busy week ahead, so LFG and Maye the best team win!

All stats and data for this article are pulled from Fantasy Life, PFF, ETR, and Stealing Signals.

A Look Back at Week 5

Week 5 Waiver Wire Wins

When I say “wins” it is in reference to the player(s) won on the waiver wire, not a performance evaluation. Because I am releasing this article after the conclusion of Week 1, many things, in hindsight, may not be a win after all. I include this section not for bragging rights or victory laps but rather to keep myself accountable and demonstrate that I am, in fact bidding on many of the players I am writing about (for better and worse).

Several of the top waiver options were not available or right for teams’ roster needs. I included these players I did not win any shares of as well ones along with the winning bid range I saw these players go for in other leagues.

Week 5 Ship Chasing Team Standings

FFPC Main Event Teams

Live A Little (0-5) 12th Place 616.70 pts

This has been a frustrating season, and the team only lost by about 10 points, mostly because of Breece Hall… oh the irony. The rest of the team did pretty well, we finally got a decent Travis Kelce game and Kareem Hunt went off. But Rico Dowdle from the bench is also starting to look pretty good is all I am saying here…

Top 2 Win It Win It (1-4) 11th Place 605.90 pts

Another tough loss for the Josh Allen team coming off two disappointing fantasy performances in a row, also to blame here is Deebo Samuel, Ceedee Lamb, and Bucky Irving. Just floor scores all across the board despite a beautiful on paper team.

We Just Don’t Know (2-3) 9th Place 648.55 pts

Finally a win for the Stat Chasing gentlemen as the Ravens double stack with Tee Higgins bring back paid off this week. Mark Andrews finally had a double digit fantasy outing and finished as the TE3... on his own team!

Tree Branches (3-2) 4th Place 698.90 pts

This win was huge for the Davis Mattek team who chose to go against projections and start Chase Brown (shocking I know). The IKB bet paid off and now the team in a great spot entering the all play week where they have a shot to move into a higher seed position.

Hear Ye Hear Ye (0-5) 12th Place 585.05 pts

There are those moments where you just can't catch a break... two steps forward and a giant leap back. This matchup was close, finally Garrett Wilson put up big points and Chase Brown had another big week, but Tank Dell, Jordan Addison, and Bucky Irving just didn't do enough. This one needs an all play miracle to stay in the game.

@CrakRok (4-1) 4th Place 708.85 pts

The undefeated CrakRok team had it's first loss this week and while there were many dud performances across the board to blame the truth is none of it mattered. The opponent put up a massive score this week and this team just could not compete. The team is still very strong and can bounce back here and easily move to a top seeded position.

Dairy Queen (4-1) 3rd Place 682.95 pts

I am ecstatic that my team stayed hot this week with it's third win in a row. The team on paper is not the most beautiful, but we have made it work despite losing Puka Nacua, Rashee Rice, and having Sam Laporta on bye. Now entering the all play week we could take one of the top two seeds, which is massive in these contests.

Cavish (1-4) 4th Place 701.25 pts

The results of this week should serve as a lesson for everyone that anything can happen "Any Given Sunday" in foot ball. The other live Vegas team got it's very first win... a MASSIVE 205 point week which perpelled the team into 4th place. What once looked Joever is very much Barak in time to celebrate Maye Day with Ja'Lynn Polk on the team.

FFPC $5,000 Big Payback Teams

Leone HS 1 (2-3) 12th Place 593.35 pts

Both these high stakes teams seem to go together... they win together and lose together, unfortunately this was a losing week. This was another one that had some disappointing performances from Deebo Samuel and Antonio Gibson along with an injury to Legette, but the opponent put up a big time score.

Leone HS 2 (2-3) 9th Place 671.30 pts

Another Bills tragedy here along with a possible big loss for next week with Nico Collins. We played the hits and nailed every stinker on this one with Breece Hall, Bucky Irving, Keenan Allen, and DK Metcalf. The one thing we did get right was Denver defense.

Week 6 Waiver Priorities for FFPC

Below are all the players I like for Week 6 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.

This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.

Please note with a drop list, you do not have to drop these players and all suggestions are general as it is impossible to cover all nuances of individual leagues.
