FAABulous Football Week 7: Dare I Say This Season Has Been Flipped on Its Head
Welcome to Week 7
This week feels like a whirlwind with two huge trades getting finalized resulting in Davante Adams reuniting with Aaron Rodgers on the Jets and Amari Cooper giving Josh Allen a legitimate wide receiver option, things are getting pretty interesting.
On top of these trades we saw several of our favorite fantasy players finally see the field in which is a mix of emotions from excitement and anticipation to surprises and fears creeping in… yes, this includes the clown show of a team called the Dallas Cowboys.
Drake Maye looked great for fantasy purposes, while Bucky Irving week was switched to Sean Tucker second year comeback season. Kimani Vidal played and scored a touchdown on his very first NFL touch, but may not have a role without J.K.Dobbins going down.
Then of course more injuries everywhere, making room for more stashes and viable waiver options available (yes, of course we have Packers like every week)... so I guess we should get to it.
The NFL has placed two teams on bye for Week 7, thank goodness I don’t have to suffer through another Cowboys game and Da Bears, because balance is everything… just wait until Weeks 12 and Week 14.
All stats and data for this article are pulled from Fantasy Life, PFF, ETR, and Stealing Signals.
A Look Back at Week 6
Week 6 Waiver Wire Wins
When I say “wins” it is in reference to the player(s) won on the waiver wire, not a performance evaluation. Because I am releasing this article after the conclusion of Week 1, many things, in hindsight, may not be a win after all. I include this section not for bragging rights or victory laps but rather to keep myself accountable and demonstrate that I am, in fact bidding on many of the players I am writing about (for better and worse).
Several of the top waiver options were not available or right for teams’ roster needs. I included these players I did not win any shares of as well ones along with the winning bid range I saw these players go for in other leagues.

Week 6 Ship Chasing Team Standings
FFPC Main Event Teams
Live A Little (1-5) 11th Place 766.45 pts
Well if miracles do happen this team finally gets its first win during all play week and finished as the 4th highest scoring team in the league. The team had Mahomes and Kelce on bye week and started Drake Maye at quarterback and Breece Hall had his best performance of the season, this feels very appropriate.
Top 2 Win It Win It (2-4) 9th Place 783.95 pts
Another win for all play week, this team scored the most points in its league keeping dreams alive with Josh Allen, Brock Bowers, and Tyrone Tracy.
We Just Don't Know (3-3) 7th Place 799.30 pts
Three wins for our teams so far and this one finished with the third most points. It was Jayden Daniels and the wide receivers who did the heavy lifting in this one. While the running backs were living up to their zero RB name sake.
Tree Branches (4-2) 4th Place 848.70 pts
What, another win? Wow we are on a heater with another 4th place finisher. This team had the running back studs with the Big Dog himself and Chase Bengals RB1 Brown who finally Mossed the competition.
Hear Ye Hear Ye (1-5) 11th Place 762.15 pts
Stop me if you have heard this one before but this team got its first win of the season and scored the most points this week. Another Chase Brown team that also had Bucky Irving and Garrett Wilson break out week which will be interesting to see play out with Davante Adams now in town.
@CrakRok (4-2) 5th Place 832.05 pts
Damn the wins stopped as this team barely missed out finishing 7th place after disappointing performances from DK Metcalf, Antonio Gibson, Brian Thomas, and Bengals RB2 Zack Moss.
Dairy Queen (4-2) 6th Place 814.80 pts
This was a tough week for my Dairy Queen team, we were in 6th place heading into the Monday night game. There were a teams with Jets defense, Bills defense, Breece Hall, and Garrett Wilson to go with about a 20 pt cushion. Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson had their best performances of the season pushing us into 8th place and registering a loss for all play week.
Caveish (2-4) 2nd Place 849.20 pts
The other Vegas team now has its second win and has moved into second place after another monster performance at every position not at running back. This team must find some viable running back options on the waiver wire this week to keep winning.
FFPC $5,000 Big Payback Teams
Leone HS1 (2-4) 11th Place 729.95 pts
This team lost again after a bunch of middle of the pack scores. The only real fantasy duds were Antonio Gibson and IND defense.
Leone HS2 (3-3) 7th Place 827.55 pts
Finally this team broke away and won on its own, ending the week with some hope still alive. Another big win because of Josh Allen, Breece Hall, former Bill Stefon Diggs, and the number one fat man himeself, Keenan Allen.
Week 7 Waiver Priorities for FFPC
Below are all the players I like for Week 7 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.
This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.
Please note with a drop list, you do not have to drop these players and all suggestions are general as it is impossible to cover all nuances of individual leagues.
